Terms of service

These terms apply when you use TailorVitae. By using the site or buying credits you agree to them. If you have a question, email hello@tailorvitae.com.

The service

TailorVitae scores your CV against a job advert, tailors it, checks the tailored version against the information you gave us, and offers mock interview practice. Results are generated automatically. They are suggestions to help you, not professional careers advice, and we can't guarantee any particular outcome from an application.

You are responsible for what you send to employers. Our fact-check is designed to catch claims that go beyond your original CV and answers, but please read your tailored CV carefully and only submit what is true.

Free check

Each person may use one free check, which scores a CV against an advert and lists its gaps. We use a cookie and a hashed IP address to apply this limit, and may pause free checks at busy times.

Job credits

• One credit starts one job: one job advert, tailored for one CV.
• Each job includes up to 3 rewrites and 3 mock interviews, along with scoring and questions, within fair-use limits.
• Credits don't expire and aren't transferable between accounts.
• If something fails on our side, the attempt doesn't count towards your job's limits.
• Prices are shown in pounds sterling on our pricing page. Payments are processed by Stripe.

Cancellations and refunds

You can ask for a full refund of any unused credits within 14 days of buying them. Once you use a credit to start a job, the digital service for that credit has been supplied and that credit can't be refunded. This doesn't affect your statutory rights: if the service is faulty, contact us and we'll put it right.

Acceptable use

Don't upload content you don't have the right to use, attempt to get around usage limits, or use the service to create misleading applications. We may suspend accounts that do.

Your content

You keep ownership of your CV and everything we generate for you. You give us permission to process it only to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy.

Liability

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We aren't liable for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Changes and law

We may update these terms and will show the date of the latest version above. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
